40 Treasures

40 Treasures review

40 Treasures mixes classic fruits with crowns and golden cups on a taller 5x4 grid, and its 40 paylines pay from left to right as well as from right to left. CT Interactive (listed as CT Gaming on slotcatalog) released it back on 17 June 2016. Slotcatalog rates the volatility as medium and records a 38% hit frequency. The 95.9% RTP shown is flagged as one of several versions, so the figure at your casino may differ.

Features & bonus round

• Key specs: Provider: CT Interactive; RTP: 95.9% (one of several versions); Volatility: Medium; Max win: 2,000x (slotcatalog table); Grid: 5x4; Paylines: 40, pay both ways; Release: 2016-06-17; Min/Max bet: 0.40–4 (default range per slotcatalog); Hit frequency: 38% (about 1 win in 2.6 spins); Features: Bothway pays, Stacked symbols, Wild, Scatter
• 40 fixed paylines across 5 reels and 4 rows, a row more than the usual 5x3 layout
• Both-ways pays: combinations count from the leftmost and from the rightmost reel, so a line can pay in either direction
• Stacked symbols appear on the reels and can cover several rows of a reel at once
• Wild works as a substitution symbol on the lines, and Scatter symbols are listed as a separate feature
• Slotcatalog's review text mentions free spins and a higher win figure, but the game's feature table does not confirm them, so we do not count them here

40 Treasures fits players who like frequent small wins: a 38% hit rate and both-ways pays keep the reels busy, while medium volatility keeps swings in check. The default bet range of 0.40 to 4 is narrow, so it is a game for small, steady stakes rather than big bets.
