How We Test Casinos

Every casino on Play Some Slots is assessed against the same criteria so our reviews are consistent and comparable. Here is exactly what we look at and how we score.

A consistent, repeatable process

We apply the same checklist to every operator, re-test regularly, and update scores when something changes. Scores are set by our review team, not by operators.

Licensing & safety

We verify each casino holds a valid licence from a recognised regulator, uses encryption to protect your data, and has fair terms. Unlicensed or blocklisted operators are not featured.

Payout speed & banking

We check withdrawal times, supported payment methods (including crypto), limits, and whether payouts are processed without unnecessary friction.

Game library

We look at the range and quality of games, the studios represented, and whether titles come from reputable providers with independently tested RNGs.

Bonus fairness

We read the small print — wagering requirements, maximum bet and cash-out caps, game weightings, and expiry — so a headline offer is judged on its real value, not its size.

Customer support

We test response times and quality across live chat and email, and check whether support is available in multiple languages and around the clock.

Mobile experience

We play on phones and tablets to confirm the site or app is fast, stable, and fully usable, with the full game library available on the go.

How scores are calculated

Each area is scored and combined into an overall safety and quality rating. Serious issues — such as unfair terms or slow payouts — weigh heavily and can cap a casino's score regardless of its other strengths.

Our independence

We earn affiliate commissions when you sign up through some of our links, but this never affects how we score or rank casinos. A poor casino cannot buy a good review. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
